Connect a controller by USB or Bluetooth and press any button to show it (browsers hide controllers until a button is pressed).
Connect a controller and press any button.
How to use
- Connect the controller and press one button
- Pressed buttons light up; triggers show how far they are pressed
- Let go of the sticks; if the value stays over 0.10 (red ring), drift is likely
- Use "Vibrate" to test the rumble motors (some controllers in Chrome and Edge)
If it does not work
- Not shown: press a button and wait a moment. Check that Steam or other controller software is not capturing input
- Controllers without the standard mapping are shown with button numbers instead of names
- If Bluetooth behaves oddly, try a USB cable
FAQ
What is stick drift?
A stick reporting a tilt when nobody touches it, making characters or the camera move by themselves. This page uses 0.10 as the threshold; a game's dead-zone setting can hide small drift.
Which controllers work?
Any controller your computer recognizes as a gamepad, such as Xbox, PlayStation-style or Switch Pro controllers. Support differs by browser.
