Dead Pixel Test
Pick a color to go full screen. Click or tap for the next color, right-click for the previous one, Esc to exit.
How to use
- Wipe the screen first so dust is not mistaken for pixels
- Start with black: a lit dot on black is a stuck (bright) pixel
- A dark dot on white, red, green or blue is a dead pixel
- Step back and look for uneven brightness too
If it does not work
- No full screen: some browsers and phones do not support it, but the page still fills with color. Hide the address bar and check
- If you find bad pixels, check the store's or maker's warranty policy on how many qualify for replacement
FAQ
Can this page fix dead pixels?
No, it only helps you find them. Rapid-flashing "fixers" exist, but they are unproven and flashing is risky for people with photosensitivity, so this page does not include one.
Does it work on phones and TVs?
Yes. On a TV, open this page in its browser or connect a computer and go full screen.
