No. They are static codes that store the content itself, so they keep working even if this site disappears. If the linked page is deleted or moved, though, the link will break.
Can I use them commercially?
Yes, on flyers, cards, products or signs. The codes follow the JIS/ISO standard, so no license fee is needed.
Is my input stored or sent anywhere?

What if it will not scan?
Check color contrast, a margin of at least 4 modules, and the printed size. Shorter content makes a coarser, easier pattern.
